What does Ludwig have to do with me?” Positions and Perspectives

On March 4th, 2024 at 19:00, our talk on What does Ludwig have to do with me?” will take place at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne. 

It will begin with an introductory lecture by renowned curator Jean-Hubert Martin, whose exhibition Magiciens de la terre” (1989) paved the way for art exhibitions with a global perspective on contemporary art, especially non-Western art.

Eva Birkenstock (Director, Ludwig Forum for International Art, Aachen)

Lóránd Hegyi (former director, e.g. Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation, Vienna)

Andreas Schmid (artist, curator, expert on contemporary Chinese art)

Regina Wyrwoll (author of the publication Peter and Irene Ludwig. Insights into the international activities of the collector couple”, former member of the Ludwig Foundation’s Board of Trustees, journalist and publicist)

The event, moderated by Claudia Dichter, will take place in the Filmforum NRW / cinema of the Museum Ludwig.

The event is a co-operation between the Peter and Irene Ludwig Foundation and the Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst am Museum Ludwig.

After the event, you are cordially invited to the cinema foyer for a glass of wine or water.
