Old Masters interpreted from a queer Perspective — Exhibition at Schloss Wilhelmshöhe of the Hessen Kessel Heritage

This exhibition impressively reflects how our view of art is constantly changing, analogous to changes in the reality of our lives. Museums have a responsibility to respond to this change, and art and cultural foundations such as the Ludwig Foundation support such pioneering projects!

The continuous reconsideration of the collection is of central importance for museums. A collection is not a static depot. It is a dynamic pool that opens up new perspectives through selection and presentation.

The exhibition sensitises visitors to current issues, explores queer interpretations of pictorial themes and questions conventional motifs in this context.
